(CMR) A GoFundMe page has been setup for this morning hit and run victim, Ignacio “Nacho” Kirzner; an Argentinian national living in Cayman. It appears he was hit whilst cycling to work early this morning; shortly before 5:30 am.
According to the page Nacho recently move from Argentina to Grand Cayman to better his life and create opportunities for himself to excel his future. CMR sources indicate he has only been on island around three months now and was employed at the Kimptom Seafire hotel. We understand he just celebrated his 21th birthday on April 6.
One person who worked with him replied:
“He was very loved and kind person always had manners never rude to anyone he just want to make a life here”
The funds are to be used to assist with the cost of returning his body home, a funeral service and any additional costs. A memorial service is planed for Sunday at Tiki Beach.
Police almost immediately arrested arrested 28-year-old Wilfred Ellington Myles Jr. on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving a vehicle whilst disqualified, driving a vehicle without insurance and leaving the scene of an accident. He was taken into custody where he is being held pending further investigations by the Traffic and Roads Policing Unit.
Myles, Jr. was in court recently for sentencing on a number of offenses including numerous traffic ones. We understand that he was recently released from jail.
Myles graduated from the Alternative Education Centre in 2006.
